O how I love thee, let me count the ways...

Surprised the girls by hanging 100 hearts in their room. With a note saying there was 100 different reasons why we loved them! Maliya has decided she is going to be Maddies roommate for a while. She said she was just too scared to sleep down stairs by herself. So they are sharing a room for now, it has worked out great so far. Makes it easier to only have to decorate 1 room for the holidays.

Sisters, friends for life.

There are times the two of them scream and fight. Times when I think they would argue over rocks just to argue! Then there are times when they are so sweet and kind to each other and that's when I see their sister bond growing:)
Maddie was really grumpy and I was crazy busy so Maliya without being asked put on movie and rocked her to sleep.
One of my favorite things is when Maliya reads to Maddie. Maliya has become such a good reader, she even does different voices for the characters. Maddie loves it!

Adventures with Twinkle

We had a new member join our family this holiday season! We woke up November 27 to find our kitchen decked out in holiday decor!! A present from Santa was on the table along with doughnuts, hot coco and some Christmas crafts! Inside the present was a book called "The Elf on the Shelf" it explained that we had an elf that we could name and that would report back to Santa every night. The next morning we would have to find his new hiding place. ( our Elf hid in high places, you can't touch him or he looses his Christmas magic) Maddie wanted to name him "twinkle, twinkle little star", so we shortened it to Twinkle. The girls had so much fun finding him each morning and whispering their Christmas wishes to him.

New year ...new password

Well my blog kicked me off for a while but I have worked out the kinks and I'm back on to blog about the crazy life in the Player house. My goal this time is to make this more of a journal with pictures. I am horrible at keeping a family history so hopefully this will help! That being said let the new year begin!!!

Maliya and Maddie... Sisters by chance, friends by choice

New pictures Finally!!

I know I've been bad about blogging! When you have a fussy baby there is not alot of free time. and if i do get any free time I'm spending it with Maliya or trying to catch up on some much needed sleep!! So here are some pictures from the last few months. We are all doing great and Maddie is growing like crazy she is already 13 lbs 8oz. She loves to smile eat and eat, but most of all she loves being held and rocked all day! Matt still loves his job ( and luckily still has a job). The house is coming along and we hope to be framing the top level soon! Life with 2 girls is crazy and emotional but I love it!!

Maliya and Maddie

Just a few pictures of our girls! I can't believe we have two beautiful little girls. Maddie is such a sweet little addition to our family. She is a really good baby and loves to eat, eat, EAT! She is still getting the hang of sleeping at night, but it's not too bad :) Maliya is adjusting well to her new role as big sister and tells Maddie that she will protect her. She loves to hold her, kiss her and "help" change her diapers. Still... it's a big change for her to get use to. Matthew is completely consumed by his girls. After work he spends every second with them till bed time. ( work is going great, really long days but love the days off). We feel so blessed to have such a perfect little family. Every day I hold Maddie I get a little sad knowing she won't be little for long. I really try to appreciate and treasure every moment I have with her. They just grow up too fast :( Maliya is living proof! Maddie has such a sweet and calming spirit about her, she just makes me melt.
